Douville built this house himself in 1879 with lumber from the nearby forests.  The small house features hand-carved pine handiwork and interior wooden shutters.  Elaborate archways and pocket doors adorn the house.  Nearby you can stoll to Lake Michigan to visit its lovely shoreline and white sandy beaches.
