Fond Farewell

Charles Monroe Schulz

November 22, 1922  - - -  February 13, 2000

Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Woodstock and of course, Charlie Brown were all characters of the "Peanuts" comic street created by Charles Schultz.  He was a man who never smoked, drank or cursed.  He died of colon cancer in his sleep, ironically the same day his comic strip was due to stop running.  While the cartoonist was very modest, he brought joy to millions of all ages.  Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was inspired by another cartoonist, King, of Gasoline Alley.  The Peanuts comic strip ran in numerous papers for over 50 years.
