Most famous for her role in the HBO series, the Sopranos, who played Tony Soprano's ultra negative mother, Livia. Nancy Merchand typically always played a curmudgen of a woman who was always much less than pleasant. Throughout her career she played many memorable roles. She died surrounded by family and friends peacefully in her Connecticut home.
