Madeline Kahn
1942 - - - December 3, 1999
Born in Boston, Madeline actually was trained as an operatic singer, but she loved the theatre and her passion was acting. She starred in several Mel Brooks movies, including High Anxiety, Blazing Saddles with Gene Wilder, and Young Frankenstein. She also starred in Paper Moon with Ryan O'Neil. Madeline received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, but did not win an Academy Award until 1993 for best actress for her role as a Jewish matron in The Sisters Rosensweig. She died at age 57 of ovarian cancer.
