Andy Gibb was the youngest brother of the musical Gibb Family.  He was often in competition to prove himself with his older brothers The Bee Gees, though he was right there with them at the top of the charts in the 1970s.  His eldest brother Barry helped him write and sing backup on his albums.  He was the only pop singer to date whose first three releases hit the #1 spot.  But Andy had a problem with cocaine and alcohol, numerous times he fought, won and then lost to this battle.  His first wife, as well as the love of his life, actress Victoria Principal, gave him the ultimatum to choose between drugs or them, and though he wanted to chose them, he chose drugs.  Ultimately, it claimed his life after years of abuse to his heart an body. He died just days after his 30th birthday.
