Joseph Paul DiMaggio
November 25, 1914 - - - March 8, 1999
One of the greatest baseball legends ever, Joe DiMaggio was known as the "Yankee Clipper". For 13 years he played baseball for the NY Yankees and is one of the greatest players of all time and was nicknamed Joltin' Joe. His father was an immigrant from Sicily, Italy. He married actress and icon Marilyn Monroe on January 14, 1954, but they were separated later in the year and eventually divorced. He still continued to be her best friend and delivered flowers to her grave every year on the anniversary of her death.
