Abescon, New Jersey 08201
Abescon was a village called Absecum in the year 1819. Jonathan Pitney was only 20 years old when he became a doctor and is now known as "The Father of Atlantic City". He was responsible for the construction of the railroad which trail across the salt marshes to Abescon Island, now better known as Atlantic City.
