Cosmopolitan's Virtual Makeover
by SegaSoft Retail: $39.95
When we first got this program, we assumed it would be a children's program that would make a virtual tan look orange and a blonde look like ghost white. But after 4 women and 2 men from our staff evaluated it, we all realized that this is much more than a toy that would loose its charm after a day or two, but a sophisticated application that has professional applications and could be used in salons, beauty palors and retail cosmetic counters. As many options as it has from eye and hair color and legnth to skin complexion, lipstick, blush and eye liner. This is the 90s and even Cosmopolitan recognizes that men too are entitled to makeovers. Ever wonder what you might look like with a goatee or mohican? Unfortunately, the program does not allow you to chose both at the same time as a final "makeover". Though the options for men are not as vast, it still provides to be entertaining. Who would have ever thought that a product like this could be so versatile that everyone in the family could use it as entertianment; cosmotology students practice and study; for the girl with a big date, prom or other function who wants to see what she looks like BEFORE taking an irreversable plunge; and especially for professionals to show their clients what a different shade can do. This gets our vote for one of the Top Ten Computer Gifts to give for the holiday season.
