Thanksgiving Websites & Links

Thanksgiving was originally celebrated by the explorers to the new world now known as North America.  They had worked the entire year, harvested their crops and sat down to enjoy the fruits of their labor with a feast, and often with the Native American Indians.  Because the Americans were able to survive by the easy hunting of turkey, Benjamin Franklin thought it would be appropriate if the United States of America should honor it as the national bird since it contributed to the survival of the new settlers.
