Cinco De Mayo
Cinco De Mayo is a Mexican celebration of the victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 against all odds. This is not to be confused with the Mexican Independence Day on September 16, 1810. The holiday is more widely celebrated in the United States than in Mexico since it is not their most important date in history. Additionally, it has become very commercialized with advertising and endorsements mostly from tequila and beer companies.
