1863 Confederate General Stonewall Jackson accidently shot by one of his men during the battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia, he died eight days later.
1890  Oklahoma Territory organized.
1965  Early Bird satellite used to transmit television pictures acrosss the Atlantic.
1972  Former FBI Head J. Edgar Hoover dies.
1983  Groundbreaking for the Devil's Gate Viaduct on the Georgetown Loop in Georgetown, Colorado.

1885  Good Housekeeping magazine debuts
1887  Hannibal W. Goodwin of Newark, New Jersey patentented celluloid photographic film for movies.
1932  Jack Benny's first radio show made it debut on NBC's Blue Network.

1985  General Motors rolled out "X-Cars" in Detroit, Michigan.  They were a failure and massive recalls cost GM millions.
