1921  The first religious broadcast on radio given by Dr. E.J. Van Etten of Calvary Episcopal Church on KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
1974   Tex Ritter, one of the singing coyboys and father of actor/comedian John Ritter died at age 67 of a heart attack.
